Today is the Fourth of July, so Happy Birthday USA. I am looking forward to the Darfur Simulation later today. Right now I am in Media Class, and I am excited to learn more about blogging, because I think it is a necessity in understanding 21st century politics. This is because now many people who were discounted are now being able to share their beliefs for the world through the internet. This election season has been very intriguing with the amount of general awareness of the different aspects of the election. This year many “groups” have been considered the key to winning the election. Whether it was the elderly, Hispanics, African Americans, young people, women, and etc. The amount of groups that are so important in winning this election season has aided the fascination that has transcended borders throughout the world. I think it is so interesting how people are watching the United States in this historical time. Whether we have the first “African American” President or the oldest President in US history. I look forward to the results. Although, my years are young I do not believe the Bob Doyle election, or the John Kerry election had so much involvement from all over the country and the world.

In regards to my time at the Ben Franklin Institute I am more than excited and honored to be here. Each day I am amazed at all of the talent the world has to offer from being with these students. I love the diversity and the intelligence! I am stoked for the study trip next week.
